These gents were a pleasure to work with, they are the most fashionable men in Chicago and brought their style game with gorgeous items for me to chose from. The entire team from Modern Luxury and the shoot location, Primitive, was a dream.

One of my favorite creative pals is Miss Alexis Nido-Russo has recently started a stylish and collaborative local designer forum called Local Eclectic. The site sells unique accessories giving local and very talented artists a channel to showcase their master pieces. Alexis asked to interview me for her site, it was such an honor and a blast to answer to her questions and to take a moment out of my busy life to chat about style, work and play.

While Charlotte Olympia and Sophia Webster are household names for their interesting accessories, I would like to point out the amazing accessory designer crush of the moment- Yazbukey. The pop art vibe is nothing less than fun and makes me want to step out in style with these wearable fashion lover toys.
A little history: After studying at Studio Berçot and working at Margiela, McQueen-era Givenchy and Jeremy Scott, Yaz’s universe constructed itself around the ornate: accessories for oneself, and also for the home, with the imminent launch of Yazbukey Home Sweet Home. The fun-filled world of her jewels is like a giant lucky dip, where figurative necklaces, mouse evening bags or Plexiglas bracelets create a unique galaxy and an original signature.
I will take one of everything please…. Especially that hand belt and hairspray clutch! So fun!!

While many are resolving to lose weight, eat healthier etc etc I encourage you to resolve to contribute to the world in small ways. I am resolving to do the following and I invite you to as well.
1. Just Say No to Plastic
When you are shopping at the grocery store it is tricky not to consume products without plastic packaging, you can make a decision to buy products with less packaging, recycle all items and make your voice heard to the store that you are hoping for less plastic products in the future when they are making their product buy-in decisions.
2. Try to always carry a canvas bag in your purse for impromptu stops at the grocery store. California is the leader in this trend and you are trendy too right, so follow their lead and help your resolution above.
3. Don’t buy tampons with plastic. Whole Foods has inexpensive earth friendly tampons. Easy resolution to follow, save money and save the earth- WIN WIN!
4. Feel Good Fashion – For every $100 you want to spend on spring/summer clothes donate an hour of your time. We know your time is valuable, and you are super busy- so why don’t you donate your time to a cause of your choice before your new SS14 looks arrive? Double up on that rewarding feeling of helping your community and feeling confident in your new clothes. Some of my favorite organizations are Lynn Sage Foundation, BeBrightPink, Leader Dogs for the Blind —>what will yours be?
5. Wash Your Clothes on Cold Every Time– Heating water to do laundry is one of the largest users of energy in a typical home. So, switch to washing in cold water – it gets clothes just as clean as hot water, while using less energy and money.
